Job summary

Early Spark Academy & Childcare in Southfield, MI is hiring two part-time Floater Teachers to support our growing early childhood program. You will provide classroom coverage across age groups, assist with breaks, meals, and daily routines, and help create safe, welcoming learning spaces. The role offers cross-training to support various areas of the program.

Qualified candidates have experience with young children and a team-oriented mindset. CDA/ECE coursework is a plus but not required.

What You’ll Do

• Provide classroom coverage and support across age groups
• Cover teacher breaks and planning/preparation time

Our Floaters are cross-trained, but may have different primary responsibilities. One may spend more time supporting meal service and morning operations, while another may focus more on classroom coverage, teacher breaks, prep time, and afternoon support.

• Comfortable working with different classrooms and age groups
• Able to actively engage with children throughout the day
• Comfortable supporting both classroom and meal-service needs
• CDA/ECE coursework or licensed childcare experience is a plus, but not required

Compensation

$16.00–$18.00/hour

Starting pay within the range is based on education, early childhood credentials, relevant licensed childcare experience, and overall qualifications.
