Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced (Part Time Flexible) in China, MI. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via the scheduling platform to increase earnings, while maintaining reliable hours.

The position emphasizes customer service, incident response, patrol duties, and maintaining site security protocols. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma (or equivalent) are required, with background checks and drug screening

Qualifications

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, as a Branch Flex employee.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling as a Branch Flex employee.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a utility services location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
