Job summary

dfa is seeking a capable truck mechanic in Houston to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks and trailers. You will work with a team to ensure equipment is available and operating optimally, following safety and DOT guidelines.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, brake and transmission servicing, and using shop management and diagnostic tools. High school diploma and relevant certifications are preferred, with 1–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanic certification, CDL license, refrigeration license, or other relevant licenses may be required

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle maintenance, component replacements, and minor repairs
• Maintain, repair, inspect, and/or replace brakes, steering, transmissions, tires, and related systems
• Diagnose minor mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment
• Interact with drivers to determine the nature of the complaint and document work orders
