Job summary

Morton College is seeking a Part-Time Fitness Center Specialist to greet and register members, create IDs, supervise participants, and perform light maintenance. You will conduct fitness testing, enforce safety rules, and support daily Nutrition Center operations.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree with CPR/First Aid, data-entry and computer skills, and strong communication. Flexible hours including nights and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Data-entry and computer skills; ability to communicate well with Fitness Center members.
• Friendly, assertive, responsible; good team player.
• Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate proper exercise techniques.
• Must demonstrate Morton College core values: compassion, fairness, respect, responsibility, tolerance.
• Must work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service for Fitness Center members; greet, register, and create Fitness Center IDs.
• Maintain order of fitness equipment; clean machines regularly.
• Conduct fitness testing.
• Enforce safety rules and Fitness Center policies.
• Wash towels and maintain locker rooms.
• Assist in daily operations of the Nutrition Center.
• Other duties as assigned.
