  • Complies with all OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Communicates with team members and customers in a positive and collaborative manner, both effectively and tactfully in person, on the telephone, and via two-way radio.
  • Consistently maintains a positive and problem solving attitude.
  • Understands and adheres to Treeline's employment hand book.
  • Knows and understands all safety procedures regarding all tasks.
  • Practice work place safety at all times.
  • Operate in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
  • Acknowledges and reports defects or safety issues to supervisor immediately.
  • Participate in routine maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
  • Cross train in other positions as deemed appropriate by supervisor.

  • Prepares the log deck with logs to process.
  • Operates the saw station where the road is cut and then splits the round in half.
  • Uses the appropriate conveyor to match what is being loaded.
  • Operating the vehicle and trailer that the firewood dumps into.
  • Delivering the load when deliveries are needed.
  • Operating the forklift to move the crates around.
  • Responsible for gathering materials needed to perform job according to requirements.
  • Ensures a quality product is produced.
  • Maintains inventory by providing an accurate count of products.
  • Meets daily, weekly, and team-related production goals.

Requirements
Education/Certificates Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current Valid Driver's License
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Demonstrate visual and auditory acuity in order to safely operate equipment
  • Required to lift up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Required to bend, sit, stand, and stoop for periods during normal job duties as required.
  • Possess manual dexterity and the ability to do repetitious work.
  • Work on various equipment in varying positions, either crawling under and/or laying on their back, on top of, or on a wheeled unit for various lengths of time.
Work Environment
  • The majority of the time will be outside condition.
  • The operator is subjected to severe exposure of slippery surfaces, such as icy and muddy conditions.
  • The noise level is usually loud but, generally within acceptable ranges.
  • The operator must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as hard-hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toed work boots, and safety vest.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
