Job summary

Under direct supervision, you will train for and perform duties to control and extinguish fires, rescue during incidents, provide medical aid, and respond to HazMat events; this is a safety sensitive role with comprehensive drug and alcohol testing policies.

Qualifications

• Valid state Driver’s License.
• NFPA 1001 Firefighter I with Hazardous Materials-Operations.
• TN Advanced EMT certification (or reciprocity).

Responsibilities

• Responds to fires with the company in a timely, safe and skilled manner.
• Operates hose, nozzle, hand tools and other equipment at the scene.
• Administers first aid and provides medical assistance as trained.
• Maintains fire and rescue apparatus and equipment in good operating condition.
• Performs routine non-firefighting tasks such as paperwork and records.
