Job summary

Nicolet College is seeking qualified adjunct faculty for its Public Safety fire program. This part-time pool covers classroom, lab, live-fire, and field instruction across multiple sites, including evenings and online formats.

Instructors report to the Dean of Public Safety & Transportation and bring current industry standards, certifications, and effective classroom practices to advance student success in fire protection disciplines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred for CEU courses.
• Relevant Wisconsin certifications may be required as stated.
• Experience teaching at the postsecondary level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction through classroom, lab, live-fire, or field formats.
• Deliver theory, practical skills, and professional standards in fire education.
• Maintain accurate records, attendance, and grading across terms.
• Provide feedback and communicate regularly with students and staff.
• Assist curriculum development and program improvement initiatives.
