Qualifications

• Associate degree in Fire Protection/Fire Science or related field; CEU teaching may waive degree
• Current Wisconsin Fire and Emergency Services Instructor I certification or equivalent
• Current Wisconsin Firefighter II certification
• Minimum 2 years (4,000 hours) paid/volunteer experience in the program area
• At least 1 year (2,000 hours) within past 5 years
• Alternative recent teaching experience: 8 semesters part-time or 4 semesters full-time within past 5 years

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face, hybrid, and online instruction.
• Teach theory, practical skills, and professional standards in fire.
• Provide timely feedback and maintain records.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Assist curriculum development and program improvement.
