Job summary

The Borough of Oakland seeks a part-time Fire Prevention Inspector, approximately 10–20 hours per week, to inspect buildings for compliance with the state Uniform Fire Code and to investigate complaints.

This role requires Fire Inspector Certification and a driver’s license, thorough knowledge of the Fire Code, and strong interpersonal and communication skills to apply the code to real-world situations. You will administer the CAO program and participate in Fire Prevention Week activities.
