Job summary

Keystone Experts & Engineers is seeking Part Time/Subcontracted Fire Investigators to perform origin and cause investigations nationwide. Investigators will determine the origin and cause of fires and explosions at residential, commercial, industrial sites, vehicles, or machinery, and communicate findings to clients verbally or in writing with industry-leading turnaround.

Candidates should have IAAI-CFI preferred, NFPA 921/1033 knowledge, a valid Private Investigator license where required,

Qualifications

IAAI-CFI certification preferred.
Fire investigations and timely reporting to Keystone's guidelines.
Willing to travel to loss locations across residence and surrounding states.
Private Investigators license (if required by state).
Knowledge of NFPA 921 and NFPA 1033.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Well organized; manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
Membership in origin and cause organizations (e.g., IAAI or NAFI).
Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
Experience with Google Docs and G-Suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

Determine origin and cause of fires and explosions across various sites.
Convey findings verbally or in a written report to clients with clarity and timeliness.
Travel to loss locations as needed and coordinate investigations.
