Job summary

AMFEMS is seeking a Part-time Fire Inspector to conduct fire and life safety inspections for all occupancy types. You will assist the Fire Prevention Division with routine filing and other tasks as assigned, under direction from the Division Captain of Fire Prevention.

Qualifications include Kentucky Certified Fire Inspector, 3 years of inspection experience, CPR certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile OS platforms.

Qualifications

• Kentucky Certified Fire Inspector.
• 3 years of experience conducting fire and life safety inspections.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience in using iOS or Android operating systems in tablet and mobile formats.
• Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license prior to operating any vehicle owned by the Anchorage Middletown Fire and EMS.

Job description

Position purposeThe Fire Inspector-Part time is a civilian position with no hazardous duty responsibilities. The employee, under direction from the Division Captain of Fire Prevention conducts fire/life safety inspections for all occupancy types. The employee is responsible for assisting the Fire Prevention Division with routine filing and other tasks as assigned.Minimum QualificationsKentucky Certified Fire Inspector.3 years of experience conducting fire and life safety inspections.Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.Experience with Microsoft Office.Experience in using iOS or Android operating systems in tablet and mobile formats.Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license prior to operating any vehicle owned by the Anchorage Middletown Fire and EMS. The license must be a full operator’s license. Instructional or temporary learning permits do not meet this requirement.
