Job summary

AMFEMS is seeking a Fire Inspector 1 in Prospect, Kentucky. The role focuses on community risk reduction and code enforcement, conducting field inspections, preparing reports, and supporting legal processes as needed.

You will collaborate with the Community Risk Division and local partners to strengthen fire safety and compliance. This position supports ongoing duty to aid other staff and enhance public safety.

Job description

The Fire Inspector 1 is a community risk reduction generalist (restricted on types of occupancy, hazard, and/or occupant load of buildings the inspector will be assigned)/code enforcement official who conducts field inspections, prepares correspondence/reports, investigates complaints, maintains records, participates in legal proceedings, and maintains an open dialogue with colleagues in the Community Risk Division, external partners to the Community Risk Division, AMFEMS emergency response personnel, and the local business community.
