Cindependent is seeking a Part-Time General Manager for the Mariemont Theatre in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role oversees operations across departments, stepping in for various duties to keep the theatre running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in hospitality, entertainment, retail, food service, venue operations, or similar environments.
• Supervisory or leadership experience required.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly between responsibilities.
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support across all theatre departments as needed.
• Serve as Manager-on-Duty during assigned shifts.
• Assist the Operations Director with daily theatre operations and special projects.
• Support the Guest Experience Manager during high-volume shows, festivals, rentals, and special events.
• Assist the Projection Manager with theatre readiness and technical operations as needed.
• Help onboard and train Hosts and other front-of-house team members.
• Support concessions, café, bar, retail, and inventory operations during peak periods.
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the facility.
• Assist with opening, closing, cash management, and operational procedures.
• Help coordinate special events, member experiences, private rentals, and community programs.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges and help departments stay on schedule.
• Step into temporary leadership responsibilities when management staff are unavailable.
• Help foster a positive, collaborative workplace that reflects Cindependent's mission of building community through film.
