Job summary

RTI International is seeking self-motivated individuals to work on the National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG) as Part-Time Field Interviewers. You will screen households, conduct in-person interviews, and handle sensitive topics in private settings using a project-provided tablet.

This part-time role offers a long-term opportunity with a variable schedule, travel within the region, and compensation at $23 per hour. Training and evenings/weekend work are common aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
• Effective communication skills through speech and listening.
• Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking.
• Available for entire training and data collection period.
• Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal automobile for business use.
• Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop and other equipment.
• Access to password-protected Wi-Fi for data transmissions and administrative responsibilities.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and after dark.
• Must be comfortable asking survey questions on sensitive subjects.
• Willing to work approximately 20 hours/week, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Traveling frequently to selected locations to recruit study participants.
• Locating dwelling units, identifying eligible adults, and administering a screening interview.
• Interacting with respondents and conducting in-person interviews.
• Maintaining confidential information and administering standardized questionnaires.
• Submitting timely Time & Expense reports.
• Maintaining reliable internet access for project work.
• Participating in scheduled meetings via Zoom.
