Job summary

RTI International is seeking self-motivated Field Interviewers to support the National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG). The role involves traveling to households, screening for eligibility, and conducting in-person interviews using a tablet. A part-time, long-term schedule with evenings and weekends is expected.

Compensation is $20/hour with travel time and mileage reimbursement. Training is provided, and a flexible schedule helps those seeking independent fieldwork in a government-sponsored

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Valid US driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for business use.
• Comfortable using project tablets and laptops; able to maintain confidentiality.
• Estimated 20 hours per week, including weekends and some evenings.

Responsibilities

• Travel frequently to selected locations to recruit study participants.
• Screen households and administer NSFG interviews in person.
• Interact with respondents and obtain informed participation for the main interview.
• Maintain confidentiality and complete Time & Expense reports promptly.
• Attend virtual trainings and meet weekly with the project supervisor.
