Job summary

RTI International is seeking self-motivated Field Interviewers to work on the National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG) as part-time field staff. You will conduct in-person interviews, screen households, and work with a tablet in private settings.

This role offers a long-term, flexible schedule with approximately 20 hours per week, including weekends and evenings, and travel to households with occasional regional travel. Training will be provided, and you must handle sensitive questions.

Qualifications

• Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
• Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking.
• Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal automobile.
• Willingness to work approximately 20 hours per week, including weekends and weekday evenings.
• Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop and other associated equipment.
• Able to keep project information confidential.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and after dark.

Responsibilities

• Travel frequently to selected locations to recruit study participants.
• Locating selected dwelling units and administering a screening interview.
• Interacting with respondents and conducting in-person NSFG interviews.
• Submitting Time & Expense reports and attending scheduled project meetings.
• Safeguarding project materials and equipment and ensuring data confidentiality.
