Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains is seeking a Part-Time Chaplain to provide faith-based support to employees and their families at client sites. The role involves weekly visits to worksites, confidential pastoral discussions, and coordinating with leadership to address employee needs.

This remote position serves client sites nationwide with variable hours; chaplain availability and client requirements differ. Bilingual Spanish is required for this assignment.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary group in an interfaith setting.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal communication skills with clients and families.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to Christian values and ministry.
• Ability to interact professionally with diplomacy and patience across diverse groups.
• Proficiency with standard computer tools (Google Suites, MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Serves as a messenger and conveyor of faith, mission, and purpose.
• Interact with companies, their employees, and the community with character and spiritual discipline.
• Make regular visits to company worksites, usually weekly, to connect with employees and build trust.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions for employee and family issues and coordinate referrals for specialized help.
• Assist in planning, conducting or attending funerals and providing post-loss support as needed.
• Visit employees or immediate family members at hospitals, homes, or other sites.
• Support notifications of death and serious injuries to families and employees.
• Provide post-termination care to ease transitions for laid-off employees.
• Represent ministry services to clients and participate in new employee orientation.
