Job summary

ST Radio, Ft. Wayne is seeking a part-time Field Broadcast Technician to support live and remote broadcasts. You will transport equipment, set up and break down sites, and ensure equipment operates properly.

Ideal candidates are organized, technically inclined, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable engaging with the public. Weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Experience towing a trailer preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Primarily off-site at remote broadcast locations.

Responsibilities

• Drive station vehicles to and from remote locations in a safe and professional manner.
• Tow and maneuver station trailer as required.
• Load, transport, set up, test, and break down remote broadcast equipment.
• Ensure proper operation of audio, technical, and support equipment at remote sites.
• Purchase and transport food, beverages, and other supplies for remote events as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of station vehicles and trailers.
• Conduct routine vehicle and equipment checks before and after events.
• Report vehicle or equipment issues to manager.
• Represent the station professionally at promotional events.
• Assist team members to ensure successful remote broadcasts.
