Job summary

The Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA is seeking a Part Time Family Programming Attendant to supervise and engage children in Stay & Play, Youth Zone, and Parent’s Night Out programs at our Tampa facility.

Under the supervision of the Program Director, you will ensure safety, greet parents, implement age-appropriate activities, maintain clean areas, and follow Y policies. Positions require 15+ years old, HS diploma preferred, and current CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age; 16 years preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of employment.
• Stay and Play trainings completed within 30 days of employment.
• Completion of Child Abuse Prevention trainings as required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for working with children of all ages.
• Greet parents and children and enforce sign in/out procedures.
• Engage children with curriculum and activities daily.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and supervise participants at all times.
• Follow YMCA policies, safety rules, and handbook guidelines.
• Lead and supervise age-appropriate games and crafts.
• Attend staff meetings and complete required trainings.
