Job summary

The Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA seeks a part-time Family Programming Attendant to supervise children in Stay & Play, Youth Zone, and Parent’s Night Out, ensuring safety and engagement. You will follow YMCA policies, supervise activities, and maintain a clean, safe environment for children and families.

You’ll work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed; prior child care experience is preferred, with required CPR, AED and First Aid certifications within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age; 16 years preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Preferred but not required: experience interacting with children.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for working with children.
• Communicate professionally with children, parents, guests and colleagues.
• Provide a safe and enjoyable environment for members and their children.
• Greet parents and children and follow sign-in/out procedures.
• Engage children with curriculum, activities, and daily games.
