Job summary

The Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA is seeking a Family Programming Attendant for Stay & Play, Youth Zone, and Parent’s Night Out programs in Tampa, FL. You will supervise and engage children, ensuring a safe and fun environment under the direction of the Program Director.

Requirements include being at least 15 years old, CPR/AED/First Aid within 30 days, and completion of Stay and Play trainings. Some weeks may require evenings, weekends, or holidays with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old;16 years preferred
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of employment
• Complete Stay and Play trainings within first 30 days of employment
• Level 2 fingerprinting required
• Complete all Child Abuse Prevention trainings upon hire and before working in program area

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for working with children
• Communicate professionally with children, parents, guests and staff
• Provide a safe and enjoyable environment for members and their children
• Greet parents and children and manage sign-in/sign-out procedures
• Engage children with curriculum, activities, and group games
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and disinfect surfaces as needed
• Supervise children at all times and enforce safety policies
• Follow YMCA policies and participate in staff meetings and trainings
• Assist with Parent's Night Out activities and setup/cleanup
• Perform other duties as assigned
