Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant - Family Practice for a Part Time, 0.80 FTE, Day position. The salary range is $25.62 – $34.58 per hour, with hiring rate depending on education, experience and collective bargaining terms.

The role supports physicians and providers, assisting in patient care and following the scope of practice for Medical Assistants. Strong clinical and administrative skills are required.

Qualifications

• Accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent qualifying training.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office preferred.
• National MA certification (AAMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA/AMCA) or WA state MA credentials.
• BLS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment; record vitals.
• Prepare rooms and maintain medical supplies and equipment.
• Administer injections and assist with wound care under supervision.
• Maintain patient files and enter data into EMR.
• Schedule tests and appointments; assist with patient flow.
• Communicate with clinical staff to ensure smooth operations.
