Job summary

Sage Haus LLC. is seeking a House Manager & Family Assistant in West Columbia, SC to support a busy homeschooling family. This part-time role focuses on household organization, meal preparation, laundry, errands, and occasional back-up childcare, with a morning day-before schedule and some flexibility for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy, punctual, and able to work quietly behind the scenes. Compensation is $25–$30/hour via W-2, with 15–25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation.
• Maintain a smoke-free environment.

Responsibilities

• Household management & organization: Create and maintain household organization systems; Daily resets and prep for biweekly cleaners; Light tidying and kitchen restocking; Occasional guest/event prep; Seasonal swaps; Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs; Travel packing and unpacking with focus on children; General upkeep including batteries, bulbs, smoke detectors.
• Deep cleaning & special projects: Occasional appliance deep cleans; Organizational projects (closets, pantries, toys); Refresh garage, back porch, outdoor cushions.
• Inventory & errands: Restock pantry/fridge; Manage supply lists; Manage household orders/subscriptions; Returns, dry cleaning pickup, prescriptions; Mail/packaging handling.
• Meal support: Dinner prep 3–4 times/week; Lunch prep 2–3 times/week; Occasional lunch on busy homeschool days; Grocery shopping; Follow dietary needs; Kitchen cleanup.
• Laundry & linen care: Wash/fold/organize family laundry; Strip/wash beds; Ironing/steaming as needed; Maintain tidy laundry areas.
• Vendor & property oversight: Seasonal property maintenance; Light tidying of outdoor spaces.
• Family support: Light supervision/back-up childcare; Occasional date-night coverage; Occasional pickup/drop-off.
• Vehicle management: Fuel/clean/organize vehicles; Scheduling car maintenance.
• Administrative & PA support: Calendar awareness; Receipt tracking; Occasional scheduling or event coordination.
