Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a part-time, hourly UMHT Summer Check-In Monitor to support at-risk students as they transition back to school for the 2026-27 year. The role involves building relationships with students and families and connecting them with resources and supports.

Responsibilities include reaching out to parents and students, providing tiered support, planning open houses and tours, and collaborating with program staff.

Qualifications

• Currently employed as a School Counselor, Social Worker, Psychologist, Attendance Officer or Student Assistance Specialist.

Responsibilities

• The UMHT Student Check-In Monitor will contact parents and students to see what resources and/or support they may need to transition back to school.
• Contact students and families to see what resources and/or support they may need. These can be current students the UMHT has been supporting or new students transitioning.
• Provide tiered response to support students at the school for individual or group support. This may start as virtual but should progress to in person as part of their transition plan.
• Plan open houses, school tours, meet and greets, or other organized activities that connect students and families to school.
• Collaboration with summer and other program staff.
• Suicide Screenings, threat Assessments, CPS reporting guidance.
• Supervision of students and classroom instruction and support.
