Job summary

MCHAP is seeking a Part-Time Chaplain in Laurel, MD to provide Christian faith-based care for employees and their families. The role visits worksites weekly, offers confidential discussions, and supports grief, illness, parenting, and other life issues with compassionate spiritual guidance.

The chaplain will interact with employees, manage referrals for specialized assistance, and assist with funerals or memorials as needed, while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in an interfaith setting and collaborate with diverse groups.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, and counseling skills for staff and families.
• Strong written and verbal communication with confidentiality and diplomacy.
• Proven ability to provide spiritual support and ministry in a corporate setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care visits to employees and their immediate families at various worksites.
• Offer confidential pastoral discussions and spiritual support during grief, illness, or life events.
• Plan, conduct or attend employee-focused funerals or memorials and provide follow-up support.
• Engage in orientation and liaison activities with company leadership and chaplains.
