Job summary

Allan Hancock College's Welding Technology Program is seeking qualified candidates to join our pool of part-time faculty for upcoming instructional assignments. Positions are available for spring, summer, and fall terms and may include day or evening classes at various campus locations.

Teaching opportunities may include Beginning Welding, Advanced Welding, Layout and Fabrication Interpretation, with in-person delivery at all campus locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with two years of relevant industry experience OR an Associate degree with six years of relevant industry experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be submitted.
  • Teaching experience is preferred for welding topics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engaging instruction aligned with established curriculum and course outlines.
  • Maintain current knowledge in welding and related technologies.
  • Adhere to professional and ethical standards of conduct.

  • Fulfill all professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member.
  • Teach assigned day, evening, or weekend classes as scheduled.
Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

Manufacturing

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution AND two (2) years of relevant industry experience; OR
  • Associate degree from an accredited institution AND six (6) years of relevant industry experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Candidates applying based on equivalency must also submit an Application for Equivalency form.

  • Preferred:
    Prior teaching experience in welding or related fields.
