Part‑Time Faculty Interest Pool – Journalism

Portland Community College is accepting applications for part‑time faculty assignments in Journalism. This pool will be used to match candidates to substitute and full‑term class assignments as needed during the Academic Year.

Eligibility

Applicants must be residents of Oregon or Washington. PCC does not sponsor visas.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Speech Communication, Mass Communication, or Communications
• OR Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology)
• Thirty (30) graduate quarter hours in the subject area
• OR, without one of the above degrees, a Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Communications, or Journalism and two or more years of professional experience in mass media
