Position Summary

Portland Community College (PCC) is accepting applications for a Part‑Time Faculty Interest Pool within the HVAC‑R/Electrical Trade Department. The pool will be used to position qualified instructors for substitute and full‑term class assignments as needs arise during the academic year.

Employment Restrictions

Employment is limited to individuals residing in Oregon or Washington. Applicants must be able to establish residence in one of these states.

Qualifications

• Holding a Journey Card in HVAC‑R, Electrical, or related trade.
• Minimum five years of field experience, or qualifications set by the licensing organization.
• Instructor qualifications specific to the trade may be reviewed on the Trades & Industries Instructor Qualifications page.

Responsibilities

• Teach or oversee lecture, lab, or lecture/lab courses in HVAC‑R/Electrical trade as assigned.
• Develop and deliver course materials and instructional strategies appropriate to the course level.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
