Eligibility & Employment Information

Program Overview

PCC offers a Part‑time Faculty Interest Pool in Computer Aided Design and Drafting. Faculty may be considered for substitute assignments or full term class assignments.

Teach PCC courses in CAD and Drafting as assigned to substitute or full term class assignments.

Qualifications

• AAS degree in Drafting Technology or Engineering Technology (unless otherwise specified).


• Three years of recent technical experience in mechanical or related design.

Related Instructional Requirements

• CADD 100: (Communication) Successful completion of a 200 level or higher college writing course, or successful completion of a 100 level or higher technical writing course (or equivalent).


• Proficiency in composing technical memos, requirement specifications, test plans, validation reports, project proposals, user research reports, or related technical documents.


• Professional experience presenting technical communications to clients, customers, and/or management.


• CADD 245: (Human Resources) Demonstrated professional experience contributing to a product development team in a mechanical, design or drafting documentation role; completion or professional development courses related to Human Relations or Team Leadership and/or experience as a project manager, team lead or mechanical, design or drafting department manager.

Academic Credentials

Required academic credentials must be earned at a regionally accredited U.S. institution or a foreign institution with equivalent accreditation. Transcripts from foreign institutions must be evaluated by agencies recognized by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.

• Eligible for Oregon Sick Leave and selected retirement savings plans.


• Hourly rates determined by course type (Lecture, Lab, or Lecture/Lab). New hires generally start at Step 1 of the salary schedule.
