Job summary

Portland Community College is seeking qualified instructors to join its Part-Time Faculty pool for Drafting/Design courses. Applicants should hold an AAS in Drafting Technology or Engineering Technology and bring three years of hands-on mechanical design experience.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks and Inventor is required for listed CADD courses. Assignments may include CADD 126, CADD 136, CADD 155, CADD 175, CADD 185, CADD 275, and CADD 285, with courses offered based on need

Qualifications

• AAS degree in Drafting Technology or Engineering Technology (or as specified for individual courses)
• Three years of recent technical experience in mechanical or related design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks and Inventor for listed CADD courses
• Successful completion of a 200 level or higher college writing course (or higher)
• Demonstrated ability to compose technical memos, requirements, test plans, and reports
• Experience presenting technical information to clients, customers or management
