Position Overview

Portland Community College (PCC) is the largest post‑secondary institution in Oregon and the 19th largest in the nation. PCC is hiring part‑time faculty for Business Administration: Business Technology. Candidates must be residents of Oregon or Washington. The work involves teaching courses face‑to‑face on campus (Sylvania, Rock Creek, Southeast, Cascade) and online. This is an interest pool; applications are reviewed each month and candidates are selected as course assignment needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Teach Business Administration courses in Business Technology, both online and on‑campus.

• Prepare instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.

• Conduct office hours and provide academic support to students.

• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development activities.

Instructor Qualifications
  • BA116 Instructor: Microsoft Office for Workplace Communications and a Master’s Degree in a business field (Business or Business Education); OR a Master’s Degree in any field plus at least three years of relevant teaching experience and industry experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree in any field plus at least four years of relevant teaching experience and industry experience.
  • BA216A/169Z Data Analytics with Excel and Tableau Instructor: Master’s Degree in a business field (Business or Business Education); OR a Master’s Degree in any field plus at least three years of relevant teaching experience and industry experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree in any field plus at least four years of relevant teaching experience and industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching applications courses.
