Job summary

Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, OR is seeking a part-time Driver Education Instructor to help the next generation of drivers start safely. This pooled position reviews applications as needed and supports a caring team of trainers and coordinators.

The role requires an Oregon driver license, a solid driving record, and completion of the Oregon Driver Education Instructor Training program. Evening and weekend hours may be required to accommodate student schedules.

Faculty Part-Time

The position of Driver Education Instructor is a pooled and applications will be reviewed on an as needed, on-going basis.

• Completion of the Oregon Driver Education Instructor Training program. Training program requirements include having valid driving privileges for three or more years and being 21 years of age or older. (financial assistance available)
• Ability to work, independently and be self-directed, schedule will include evening and weekend hours required
• Ability to work cooperatively with teens and their parents, required
• Ability to complete all paperwork with care to detail, required
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude under stressful situations, required
