Job summary

San Jacinto College is seeking a part-time Cosmetology instructor for the North campus. Teaching Cosmetology courses and participating in class activities will be expected, with on-site duties at the assigned location.

Position may include evening or weekend classes to meet student needs. Part-time faculty are hired on an as-needed basis and not guaranteed full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have at least three years of work experience in Cosmetology.
• Valid Texas Cosmetology License required.
• Experience teaching or training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach Cosmetology courses as assigned at the North campus.
• Deliver instruction using various teaching methods and schedules.
• Possibly teach evening and weekend classes as needed.

Part-Time Faculty - Cosmetology (North)

Teaching Cosmetology.

Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available. These positions are not current vacancies. Instructors employed as part-time facultyarenot entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees. Part-time faculty are hired on an "as needed" basis and will work for the duration of time specified by the respective course. A portion of teaching assignment may be evening classes and possibly weekend classes. Faculty are assigned to teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College, which may require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have at least three (3) years’ work experience in Cosmetology.
• Associate's Degree (or higher level degree).
• A valid Texas Cosmetology License.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cosmetology Instructor training

Salary Grade: AH
