The New School for Social Research in Greenwich Village is looking for part‑time faculty to teach graduate courses in their area of expertise. Class times may be evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate students within a defined field of expertise.
• Develop and manage course syllabi and ensure they meet Program and School standards.
• Plan and create lectures, discussions, and course assignments.
• Assess student learning outcomes and support student success.
• Submit grades in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree or equivalent experience in the field of specialty is preferred.
• 2–3 years of teaching experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives, preferably in a college, university, or school setting.
• Ability to work with diverse students and colleagues.
• Proven success creating inclusive classrooms.

Compensation

Studio hourly rate: $135 per contact hour.
Seminar hourly rate: $156 per contact hour.
