Job summary

Twin Oaks Rehab & Nursing Center is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to support daily upkeep and plant operations in a healthcare setting. This part-time role is scheduled for three days per week with a flexible arrangement to meet facility needs.

The successful candidate will assist with preventive maintenance, basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting), and routine inspections, reporting issues promptly to the Director of Maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in building maintenance or healthcare settings preferred.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Reliable, organized, flexible and independent worker.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily maintenance and plant operations.
• Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical fixtures, doors and walls.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and document work.
• Respond to work orders and resident/staff requests promptly.
• Inspect rooms, common areas and mechanical spaces for safety concerns.
• Maintain tools and maintenance areas in a safe, organized state.
