Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Part-Time Janitor in Bay City, Michigan. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment across the facility, performing routine cleaning, stocking supplies, and some lawn maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; office building cleaning experience preferred.
• Experience operating cleaning machinery (e.g., floor buffer, carpet cleaners).
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop non-carpeted areas.
• Wash windows.
• Disinfect kitchens and restrooms.
• Daily cleaning of toilets, urinals, sinks and fixtures.
• Mop staff bathrooms and various building areas.
• Empty trash daily.
• Lawn maintenance and weeding.
• Maintain inventory of chemical supplies and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed.
• Keep janitorial closets organized and stocked.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
