Job summary

The Salvation Army in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a part-time Custodian to perform routine cleaning across offices, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas, ensuring a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include vacuuming, disinfecting, rest room sanitation, trash removal, light maintenance, and assisting with space setup, with 25 hours per week schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Janitorial experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Clean and dust surfaces including windows, doors, desks, shelves, and furniture
• Vacuum carpets and shampoo as needed to maintain clean floors
• Sanitize restrooms and kitchens, disinfect surfaces and manage waste
• Assist with setup of program spaces (tables, chairs) and report maintenance needs
• Organize cleaning supplies and monitor outdoor areas as required
