Via Seating in Sparks, NV is seeking a Part-Time Facilities Technician to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment, ensuring a safe and productive workplace.

Starting at $30.00 per hour, 25–30 hours weekly, Monday–Friday with start times between 8:00 a.m. and noon. This role emphasizes hands-on maintenance of cutting tables, sewing machines, plumbing, electrical systems, and other shop tools, with opportunities to grow skills and contribute to team goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in all phases of building maintenance.
• Knowledge and experience using a broad range of maintenance, testing and trade tools.

Responsabilités

• Perform general repairs and maintenance on equipment and tools to support the facility and production.
• Identify outside contractor needs for major repairs and advise on purchases.
• Evaluate long-term needs for major projects and communicate to management.
• Ensure timely repairs and preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Maintain up-to-date records for all maintenance and equipment including repair history and costs.

Via Seating is hiring a Part-Time Facilities Technician ! If you’re someone who enjoys assuring the effective functioning of a manufacturing facility, it's equipment and machinery to ensure an efficient and safe working environment for employees in their activities, this may be the opportunity for you!

Hours and Pay:

• Starting at $30.00/hour
• Higher starting pay possible depending on experience
• 25 - 30 hours per week
• Monday - Friday; Starting between 8am - 12noon and working 5-6 hours/day

What You’ll Do:

Perform required wide ranging general repairs and maintenance to cutting tables, sewing machines, plumbing, electrical, presses, saws, drills, steamers and other small tools and tasks in order to support the facility and the production department

Identifies outside contractor services required for major repair or maintenance and makes recommendations for purchase when replacement or new equipment is required

Evaluates long-term needs in relation to major projects and property improvements and communicates to management

Ensures timely repairs and preventative maintenance performed on all equipment and machinery

Develops, implements, and maintains up-to date records for all maintenance and equipment including all repair history and subsequent costs
