Job summary

The School District of Lee County is seeking a Part-time Supervisor, Building for Fort Myers Middle in Fort Myers, Florida. The role involves hands-on maintenance, supervision, and coordination of custodial staff to ensure facility safety and functionality.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 3 years of related experience; preferred qualifications include an Associate’s degree and 5 years of related work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of related experience and/or training in maintenance, supervision, and custodial services.
• Knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy, public information, and records retention.

Responsibilities

• Perform the maintenance, repair, and overall functionality of the facility and its systems.
• Develop and implement schedules for cleaning, inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Conduct initial diagnosis of malfunctioning equipment before requesting technical assistance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, roofs, gutters, floors, and other systems.
• Assist in supervising custodial staff and daily operations at the site.
