Job summary

Catholic Charities of Onondaga County in Syracuse is seeking a part-time Security Guard to help protect the HoP facility. You will perform routine patrols, respond to system alerts, and lead tours to ensure doors and locks are secure.

The role requires a High School Diploma, a valid NYS driver’s license, and prompt attention to details with strong communication skills. Position is 24 hours per week at $18.00 per hour. Catholic Charities is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of security systems and surveillance equipment preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patrols of the 82,000 sq ft premises, interior and exterior.
• Respond to security system alerts and alarms.
• Lead agency tours and check windows, doors and locks; document findings in log book.
• Investigate suspicious activities and disturbances.
• Assist with after-hours access to the property and monitoring as needed.
• Other duties as assigned during the shift.
