Job summary

Jackson Electric Membership Corporation is seeking a Facilities Assistant for a part-time, 20-hour per week schedule at the Hull, Georgia location. The role focuses on maintaining and cleaning buildings and grounds, and supporting basic custodial duties to present a clean, safe, and professional image for the cooperative.

The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma and custodial experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to perform elementary arithmetic, read and understand instructions, and complete routine reports.
• Minimum one year of experience in building maintenance and custodial services including cleaning, waxing, and polishing floors, windows, and other office areas.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and grounds maintenance; ability to learn and perform custodial duties and care of plants.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean building and grounds at offices, including windows and exterior walls.
• Clean, wax, and polish floors and furniture.
• Remove trash and polish furniture.
• Clean bathroom floors and fixtures; vacuum carpets.
• Clean and maintain break rooms and kitchens.
• Assist with minor repairs and supplies procurement as needed.
• Set up and breakdown meeting spaces as required.
