Job summary

Bethlehem Center is seeking a part-time Building Support Staff to assist with maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of facilities and grounds. Under supervision, you will perform semi-skilled and basic tasks to keep buildings safe and ready for program use.

Responsibilities include cleaning, minor repairs, lawn upkeep, and event setup. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 20–40 lbs in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance, custodial, or manual labor tasks.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20–40 lbs.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, trash removal, and upkeep of buildings and common areas.
• Support general maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, and basic carpentry.
• Assist with lawn care and outdoor upkeep as needed.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs and assist with repairs of small appliances, furniture, doors, and fixtures.
• Safely operate hand and small power tools.
• Assist with setup/breakdown for programs and events, and inventory control.
• Attend staff meetings and assist other departments with facility-related needs.
