Job summary

Gwinnett County Government in Georgia is seeking a Part-time Building Attendant to perform janitorial, landscaping, and setup/breakdown for events and programs. The role requires good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to monitor activities inside and outside the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the facility, locking doors, setting the security alarm, and daily checks for safety.
• Operate groundskeeping equipment and perform routine maintenance on tools.
• Inspect outdoor spaces, clear debris, repair fencing, and report hazards.
• Assist custodial tasks inside the facility and stock supplies as needed.
• Perform basic facility maintenance tasks under supervision (carpentry/plumbing/electrical).
• Provide administrative support and maintain safety documents and reports.
• Respond to work orders, coordinate with team, and assist with special projects.
