Job summary

City of Gahanna in Kentucky is seeking a Part-time Custodian/Janitorial Worker to keep facilities safe, clean, and welcoming. You’ll perform daily cleaning, basic repairs, and event setup, from floor care to snow removal, ensuring spaces are well-maintained and ready to serve residents year-round.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in custodial tasks and facility upkeep.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment and basic repairs.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, and waxes floors.
• Washes ceilings and walls; cleans and sanitizes bathroom fixtures.
• Dusts and polishes furniture and woodwork.
• Performs set-up and take-down activities for facility rentals.
• May operate floor cleaners and power washers.
• May perform minor electrical repairs.
• Climb ladders and work at elevations with PPE.
• Snow and ice removal from entrances, steps, and ramps.
