Job summary

Baldwin County is hiring part-time custodial staff to maintain cleanliness and order in county facilities. Tasks include cleaning restrooms, kitchens, and common areas; restocking supplies; trash removal; and basic maintenance of floors and fixtures.

You may assist with room setup, mail duties, and opening/closing buildings, while passing background checks and a pre-employment drug test. Willingness to work non-standard hours and overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, methods, and safety.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Verbal communication to interact with staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect restrooms and kitchens; restock supplies.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust; manage trash and recycling.
• Set up rooms for meetings or events; assist with mailroom duties.
• Open/secure facilities and report supply needs to supervisor.
