Job summary

Fayette County Chamber of Commerce is seeking a part-time custodian to perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties. The shift is Monday through Friday, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, floors, offices, and common areas, as well as maintaining storage spaces and sanitizing telephones.

Often required to lift, bend, and handle routine janitorial tasks with attention to detail. This is a part-time position without benefits and local travel may be minimal.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Cleans public restrooms and replaces supplies.
• Cleans elevator doors.
• Empties and cleans ash trays and trash cans.
• Cleans doors and windows.
• Removes litter.
• Mops floors.
• Polishes mirrors.
• Cleans water fountains.
• Dusts furniture and wall hangings.
• Cleans base moldings.
• Cleans office and break areas.
• Cleans stairways.
• Cleans furniture.
• Cleans and disinfects telephones.
• Maintains storage area and janitors’ closets.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid US driver's license
