Job summary

Main Line Vision is an independent optometry practice seeking a part-time Billing & Practice Operations Manager. You’ll own insurance and billing, ensuring day‑to‑day operations run smoothly while supporting a close-knit team.

Eyecare experience is preferred, with 20–30 hours per week and Saturdays included, starting at $20/hr. You will manage medical claims, verify eligibility, handle denials, and maintain AR.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing, coding, and collections.
• Experience with EMR systems.
• Background in a medical office setting; eye care experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to support staff in an office environment.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Comfortable multitasking across billing, administrative, and operational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Submit and manage medical claims
• Coordinate with our insurance billing service to verify eligibility and communicate benefits to the front desk staff
• Review and resolve claim denials in a timely manner
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
• Oversee day-to-day office operations, patient flow, and scheduling
• Foster a positive team environment and keep staff coordinated
• Address technology-related concerns and support EMR system administration
• Proactively identify operational gaps and drive improvements from start to finish
