Job summary

Boone Community School District's Boone Extended Preschool is seeking a part-time Associate to supervise and nurture young children in the extended preschool setting.

You will help with snack prep, rest/nap, hygiene, and play‑based learning under the supervision of the teacher, during 3:00–5:30 p.m., 3–5 days per week, with pay of $14.83 per hour.

Must be at least 16 and able to pass background checks; physical within the last year is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Part time work, you can still be attending high school.
• No experience required; experience preferred in: Working with children.
• Must be at least 16.
• Will have to go through national and state background checks
• Must complete required trainings as assigned.
• Must have a physical in the 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Active Supervision & Safety: Maintain constant visual and auditory supervision of children across all settings.
• Snack & Meal Preparation & Support: Prepare, portion, serve, and clean up daily snacks and meals.
• Friendship Skills & Problem Solving: Coach children in social interactions and conflict resolution.
• Personal Care & Rest Time Assistance: Assist with diapering, toilet guidance, and nap times.
• Self-Care & Independence Guidance: Support children with daily self-care tasks.
• Instructional & Play‑Based Learning Support: Assist with play-based curriculum and materials.
• Behavioral & Health Care Plan Implementation: Follow safety protocols and accommodations.
• Short‑Term Coverage & Well‑Being Monitoring: Provide brief classroom coverage as needed.
