St. Pius V School, part of the Archdiocese of Chicago, seeks an Extended Day Program Assistant to support after‑school activities for ages 3–13. You will supervise, assist with homework, plan activities, and help create a safe, engaging environment with staff and families.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and strong communication within a faith‑based school community.

Qualifications

• Experience with children in school, childcare, camp, or similar setting preferred.
• High school diploma required; coursework in education or child development a plus.
• Positive, patient, dependable and able to work as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

St. Pius V School is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Extended Day Program Assistant to support our after‑school program for students ages 3–13. In this role, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where students can complete homework, participate in recreational and enrichment activities, and build positive relationships with peers and staff.

The Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic schools serve more than 40,000 students in 150+ elementary and high schools in Cook and Lake counties. It is one of the largest private school systems in the United States. Its schools have received 96 Blue Ribbon awards from the U.S. Department of Education over the past 10 years. This is for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in a safe, nurturing, and engaging after‑school environment.

This position has an hourly range of $16.60 - $17.26. An employee’s pay within the range will be based on many factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
