Job summary

BrightStar Care - Cuyahoga West is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides to provide in-home care across Westside and surrounding Cleveland areas.

Join a team that emphasizes patient dignity, safety, and independence. You will assist with ADLs, mobility, meals, and medication reminders while following individualized care plans and HIPAA standards, with flexible shifts and supportive supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of caregiving or home care preferred.
• HHA, STNA, CNA training preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray.
• Valid driver's license with proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist mobility.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Independent worker able to follow care plans and HIPAA rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Provide mobility transfers and ambulation support.
• Prepare meals and remind about medications.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Accompany clients to appointments and activities.
• Observe changes and report to care team.
• Follow individualized care plans and agency protocols.

Schedule Include:

• It Can be a PT, and PRN
• Different shifts are available (AM, PM, Night shift)
• Must able to work in the westside, eastside, and southwest part of cleveland.

What You'll Do

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation support
• Prepare meals and provide medication reminders
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Accompany clients to appointments and community activities when needed
• Observe and report changes in client condition to the care team
• Follow individualized care plans and agency protocols

• HHA, STNA, CNA, or Nursing Assistant training preferred
• Current CPR certification

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while following client care plans
• Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
